Key Responsibilities

• Develop, customize, and maintain high-performance WordPress websites and Shopify e-commerce stores, ensuring functionality, aesthetics, and responsiveness across all devices.
• Implement custom themes, plugins, and features for both WordPress and Shopify platforms, tailoring solutions to specific client requirements.
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX designers, project managers, and marketing teams to translate design mockups and business needs into functional web applications.
• Perform regular website updates, security audits, and performance optimizations (e.g., page speed, image optimization) to ensure optimal site health and user experience.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical issues related to WordPress core, plugins, themes, and Shopify liquid code.
• Integrate various third-party services and APIs, such as payment gateways, shipping providers, and marketing tools, into e-commerce solutions.
• Manage databases effectively, primarily MySQL for WordPress, ensuring data integrity and efficient data retrieval.
• Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in WordPress, Shopify, and general web development.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a WordPress / Shopify Developer, with 0.6 to 3 years of professional exposure. Freshers with strong foundational knowledge and relevant projects are also encouraged to apply.
• Solid proficiency in web development languages including PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Demonstrable experience with WordPress theme development, custom post types, Gutenberg blocks, and plugin customization.
• Familiarity with Shopify's Liquid templating language, theme customization, and app integration.
• Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
• Experience with version control systems, preferably Git.
• Knowledge of MySQL database management and optimization.
