Windows Administrator

As a Windows Administrator (L2) at Nazztec, you will be instrumental in managing and maintaining our server ecosystem, providing essential support and troubleshooting, and implementing best practices for system reliability and security.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Windows Server administration and advanced troubleshooting to resolve system issues efficiently.
• Manage and maintain Hyper-V clusters, ensuring high availability and optimal performance of virtualized environments.
• Configure and manage Failover Clusters for critical business applications, guaranteeing business continuity.
• Conduct basic troubleshooting for IIS (Internet Information Services) to ensure web application stability.
• Execute server provisioning, commissioning, and decommissioning processes in accordance with organizational policies.
• Oversee OS installation, migration (in-place & side-by-side), and restoration procedures.
• Implement security patching and OS hardening techniques to protect systems from vulnerabilities.
• Monitor server performance and manage capacity, optimizing resource utilization and predicting future needs.
• Handle VM creation, configuration, and snapshot management within virtualized infrastructures.
• Actively participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes, adhering to ITIL best practices.
• Monitor server health, including CPU, memory usage, event logs, and critical services, to proactively identify and address issues.
• Maintain accurate server inventory and manage access controls to systems.
• Prepare and submit monthly availability reports, detailing system performance and uptime.

Requirements

• A full-time B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Computer Science (CS), Information Technology (IT), Electronics & Telecommunication (E&TC), B.Sc. IT, BCA, or MCA qualification is mandatory.
• A minimum of 4 to 6 years of progressive experience in Windows Server Administration.
• Proven expertise in Windows Server Administration and troubleshooting.
• Mandatory hands-on experience with Hyper-V Management and Failover Cluster Management.
• Proficiency in IIS basic troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding and practical experience in Security Patching and OS Hardening.
• Experience with Server Performance Tuning and OS Migration.
• Competence in VM Administration and management of Windows Server 2012/2016 Clusters.
• Possession of relevant Microsoft Certifications is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in enterprise infrastructure support is a significant advantage.
• Exceptional troubleshooting and incident management skills are essential for this Windows Administrator (L2) role.
