Windchill Test Lead

Birlasoft, a global enterprise digital IT services provider, is actively seeking an experienced and highly skilled Windchill Test Lead to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves spearheading the quality assurance efforts for our critical Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) implementations. As a Windchill Test Lead, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, reliable PLM solutions that meet our clients' complex business requirements. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving test strategy, execution, and continuous improvement within our testing frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and manage all testing activities for Windchill PLM applications, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and high-quality deliverables.
• Develop detailed test strategies, test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on functional and technical specifications for Windchill solutions.
• Oversee the execution of various types of testing, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing, specifically for Windchill environments.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects and issues using established defect management tools, collaborating closely with development teams for resolution.
• Work closely with project managers, business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver robust testing solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior test engineers, fostering a culture of quality, best practices, and continuous learning within the team.
• Drive initiatives for test automation, process improvements, and the adoption of new testing methodologies and tools relevant to PLM testing.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, project timelines, and budget constraints throughout the software development lifecycle.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 to 10 years of progressive experience in software quality assurance and testing, with a strong focus on Windchill PLM.
• Demonstrable expertise in Windchill functionality, architecture, configuration, and integration points.
• Proven ability to design, develop, and execute complex test scenarios and cases for enterprise applications.
• Proficiency with industry-standard test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.
• Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium) for web-based applications, with an understanding of how to apply them to Windchill testing.
• Solid understanding of database concepts and strong SQL skills for data validation and backend testing.
• Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
