Web Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain advanced automation frameworks and scripts for web applications.
• Implement and execute automated tests using industry-leading tools such as Cypress and Playwright.
• Conduct thorough API testing to validate the functionality and performance of backend services.
• Integrate automated tests seamlessly into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and QA teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage and high-quality releases.
• Participate actively in Agile sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement.
• Identify, analyze, and document defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of test methodologies, including exploring AI-powered testing and prompt engineering techniques.
• Mentor junior team members and promote best practices in test automation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of hands-on experience as a Web Automation Engineer or in a similar QA automation role.
• Strong proficiency and extensive experience with Cypress and Playwright automation frameworks.
• Expertise in programming languages such as JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Proven ability to design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks from scratch.
• Solid experience with API testing tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and a strong understanding of integration processes.
• Working knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• Preferred: Exposure to AI-powered testing concepts and prompt engineering.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
