Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of talented software engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, ownership, and technical excellence.
• Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of complex Ruby on Rails applications, ensuring high standards of code quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Collaborate closely with product management, design, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and actionable development plans.
• Drive architectural decisions, evaluate new technologies, and implement scalable solutions that align with MoxiWorks' strategic objectives.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Champion Agile methodologies and best practices, continuously optimizing development processes to enhance team productivity and responsiveness.
• Actively participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and contributing to the overall technical growth of the team.
• Foster an environment of psychological safety where team members feel empowered to innovate, experiment, and learn from challenges.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in software development, with significant hands-on expertise in Ruby on Rails.
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, such as Engineering Manager, Team Lead, or Architect, demonstrating strong team management and mentorship capabilities.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs, with experience in messaging queues like Kafka.
• Extensive experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including schema design and optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills, with an ability to navigate complex technical challenges.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage stakeholders and foster cross-functional collaboration.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and distributed systems.
