Storage QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for storage products and features.
• Perform functional, regression, performance, and stress testing on various storage systems including SAN, NAS, and DAS.
• Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, collaborating closely with development teams for timely resolution.
• Work with virtualization technologies such as VMware (ESXi, vSphere) to validate storage solutions in virtualized environments.
• Contribute to the enhancement of test automation frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Analyze test results, generate detailed reports, and provide insightful feedback to improve product quality.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies in storage and quality assurance.
• Ensure that all storage solutions meet established quality standards and client expectations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5-8 years of progressive experience in Storage QA or Storage Testing.
• Demonstrated experience of 2-4 years specifically in Storage QA or Storage Testing, as noted.
• Strong understanding and hands-on experience with various Storage Protocols (e.g., Fibre Channel, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS).
• Proficiency and practical experience with virtualization technologies, particularly VMware (ESXi, vSphere).
• In-depth knowledge of core storage concepts including Storage Area Networks (SAN), Network Attached Storage (NAS), and Direct Attached Storage (DAS).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills in complex storage environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
