Sr. AI Developer Engineer

Vitim Cloud Technologies is actively seeking a highly experienced and skilled Sr. AI Developer Engineer to join our innovative remote team. This pivotal role involves leading the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge AI and machine learning solutions, leveraging advanced data engineering techniques on the Microsoft Azure platform. As a Sr. AI Developer Engineer, you will be instrumental in architecting and optimizing our data infrastructure to support complex AI/ML workloads. You will work extensively with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Azure Data Factory, and PySpark, ensuring robust data pipelines and semantic models. This role requires a visionary engineer capable of translating business requirements into scalable and efficient AI-driven applications, operating within the IST shift of 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and data warehouses using Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, and Azure Data Factory.
• Implement and optimize data processing workflows with PySpark, handling large-scale datasets for AI/ML applications.
• Architect and enforce semantic and canonical data models to ensure data consistency and integrity across various systems.
• Develop and deploy advanced AI/ML models using Azure ML and integrate with OpenAI services to create innovative solutions.
• Apply dimensional modeling and Star Schema principles for efficient data querying and analysis within Delta Lake environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality, production-ready AI/ML solutions.
• Ensure best practices in data governance, security, and performance optimization for all data and AI assets.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 10-15 years of progressive experience in AI/ML development, data engineering, and cloud platforms.
• Proven expertise with Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Azure Data Factory, and Azure ML.
• Strong proficiency in PySpark, SQL, and T-SQL for data manipulation and analysis.
• Extensive experience with Dimensional Modeling, Star Schema, Data Warehouse concepts, and Delta Lake.
• Demonstrated ability to design and implement Semantic Modeling and Canonical Data Models.
• Familiarity with OpenAI and other advanced AI/ML frameworks/libraries.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to high-quality code.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
