Sql Developer

As a key member of our technology team, the SQL Developer will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining robust database solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers to support various business applications.
• Develop and implement Unix shell scripts for automating data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes and routine operational tasks.
• Manage and schedule batch jobs and workflows using Control-M, ensuring timely and efficient execution of data processes.
• Collaborate closely with business analysts, data architects, and other developers to understand data requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.
• Perform comprehensive data analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and data discrepancies.
• Contribute to the architectural design and implementation of database schemas, data models, and data warehousing solutions.
• Ensure adherence to best practices for database security, backup, and recovery procedures.
• Utilize Python scripting skills for advanced data manipulation, automation, reporting, and integration tasks.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and maintain high standards of code quality and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on professional experience as a SQL Developer.
• Demonstrated expert-level proficiency in SQL development, including complex query writing, performance tuning, and database object creation.
• Solid experience with Unix Shell Scripting for automation and system administration tasks.
• Proven experience working with job scheduling tools, specifically Control-M.
• Practical knowledge and experience with Python coding for data processing and automation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to join immediately or within a 15-day notice period is highly preferred.
