Software Development Engineer (SDE)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and resilient software components and microservices for AI-driven systems and warehouse automation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, ensuring seamless integration and optimal system performance.
• Implement best practices for software development, including code review, unit testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, ensuring their reliability and efficiency in a distributed architecture.
• Drive technical discussions, contribute to architectural decisions, and provide mentorship to junior engineers (for SDE III).
• Ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of applications running in production environments.
• Utilize Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles to develop efficient and optimized solutions.

Requirements

• For SDE II: 3-6 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong focus on back-end systems.
• For SDE III: 6-8 years of professional experience, demonstrating expertise in architecting and leading complex software projects.
• Proficiency in Java development, coupled with extensive experience in Spring Boot and building Microservices.
• Deep understanding and hands-on experience with Distributed Systems, Event-Driven Architecture (e.g., Kafka), and REST API design.
• Demonstrated expertise in System Design and Low-Level Design (LLD), especially for fault-tolerant and multi-threaded applications.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
• Strong working knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, strong ownership, and a proven track record of building scalable production systems.
