SOAR Engineer / Lead

CyberNXT is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated SOAR Engineer / Lead to join our dynamic team in Pune. This 12-month contract role requires an immediate joiner who is passionate about enhancing security operations through automation and advanced threat response mechanisms. As a SOAR Engineer / Lead, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and managing our Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) capabilities, with a primary focus on Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of SOAR playbooks and automation workflows, specifically utilizing Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR.
• Integrate Cortex XSOAR with various security tools and platforms, including SIEM systems like Splunk and QRadar, EDR solutions, and Threat Intelligence feeds.
• Develop custom scripts, primarily in Python, to extend SOAR capabilities and facilitate unique integration requirements.
• Enhance and maintain existing security automation processes to improve incident response efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with security operations, incident response, and IT teams to identify automation opportunities and streamline security workflows.
• Utilize REST APIs to build and manage custom integrations between SOAR and other enterprise systems, including ITSM platforms.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, guiding best practices in SOAR development and operations.
• Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practices in SOAR and security automation.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto Cortex XSOAR, including playbook development and workflow automation.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for security automation and integration purposes.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk and QRadar.
• Familiarity with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions and Threat Intelligence platforms.
• Experience integrating SOAR with ITSM tools and other security orchestration components.
• Demonstrated ability to work with REST APIs for building custom integrations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in a security environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• A proactive approach to identifying security gaps and implementing innovative solutions.
