Snowflake Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines using Snowflake, Python, and Talend for various enterprise applications.
• Implement and optimize complex SQL queries and data models within the Snowflake environment to ensure high performance and data integrity.
• Perform ETL/ELT operations, data integration, and data transformation processes to load data from diverse sources into Snowflake.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications and data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance standards are met throughout the data lifecycle within Snowflake.
• Provide technical expertise and mentorship in data warehousing concepts, cloud architecture, and data engineering best practices.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring timely resolution and system stability.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of data engineering processes and tools.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience as a Snowflake Engineer or in a similar data engineering role.
• Strong, demonstrable experience with Snowflake data warehousing platform, including advanced features and optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting, data manipulation, and automation tasks related to data engineering.
• Solid experience with Talend or Talend Cloud for ETL/data integration workflows.
• Expert-level SQL skills for data querying, manipulation, and performance tuning.
• Comprehensive understanding of data warehousing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a significant advantage.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong analytical skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field is preferred.
