Senior Java Full Stack Developer

Tekcog is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Java Full Stack Developer to join our dynamic team in Mclean, VA. This onsite role demands a professional with extensive backend development expertise in Java and Spring Boot, coupled with a strong foundation in database management, cloud infrastructure, and system design. Key Responsibilities

• Lead backend development initiatives using Java and Spring Boot to build highly scalable and resilient applications.
• Utilize build automation tools like Maven and Gradle to manage complex project dependencies and deployment processes.
• Deploy, manage, and optimize applications on Kubernetes, including server-level performance tuning for peak efficiency.
• Design, develop, and maintain robust database solutions with PostgreSQL, focusing on advanced database-level performance tuning and optimization.
• Implement and manage caching strategies using technologies such as Redis and Caffeine to enhance application performance and scalability.
• Architect and develop event-driven applications, ensuring high throughput and responsiveness.
• Apply solid system design principles and best practices to create well-structured, maintainable, and extensible software systems.
• Leverage AWS cloud services, including EC2, IAM, S3, and Lambda, for infrastructure management and serverless application development.
• Design and implement various API types, including REST API, GraphQL, and gRPC, for seamless service communication.

Requirements

• Minimum of 12 years of professional experience in backend development with a strong focus on Java and Spring Boot.
• Demonstrated expertise with build tools such as Maven and Gradle.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and performance optimization.
• Deep understanding and proven experience with PostgreSQL, including advanced database tuning techniques.
• Solid knowledge of caching technologies like Redis and Caffeine for performance and scalability.
• Strong background in system design principles and the ability to apply them effectively to complex problems.
• Proven experience in designing and developing event-driven architectures.
• Proficiency with AWS services, including EC2, IAM, S3, and Lambda.
• Expertise in developing and integrating various API protocols (REST API, GraphQL, gRPC).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality, performant software solutions.
• Ability to work effectively in an onsite capacity in Mclean, VA.
