Senior Cloud Ops Engineer

Quantabase is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cloud Ops Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bengaluru. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing, automating, securing, and optimizing our robust cloud infrastructure and production environments. This position demands a professional with a strong background in AWS and an automation-first mindset, dedicated to ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our cloud operations.

As a Senior Cloud Ops Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our cloud strategy and operational excellence, working with cutting-edge technologies to maintain a seamless and efficient environment. We are looking for an immediate joiner or someone serving a notice period who can hit the ground running and make a significant impact from day one.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, including services like ECR, ECS, S3, Cognito, AppConfig, Secrets Manager, and Bedrock.
• Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform to ensure consistent and reproducible deployments.
• Configure and manage networking components such as DNS, VPCs, Load Balancers, Firewalls, and robust IAM policies.
• Oversee Docker and container orchestration platforms, ensuring efficient deployment and management of containerized applications.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines, primarily utilizing GitHub Actions, to facilitate continuous integration and delivery.
• Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring and observability solutions with tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Enforce strict cloud security protocols, including IAM, secrets management, encryption, and vulnerability management.
• Automate operational tasks and workflows through scripting in Python and Bash to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Conduct regular cost optimization and capacity planning exercises to ensure efficient resource utilization and scalability.
• Manage database and storage operations, including Aurora Serverless v2, backup strategies, replication, and disaster recovery procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 9 years of hands-on experience in Cloud Operations, DevOps, or a similar SRE role.
• Extensive expertise with AWS cloud services and a deep understanding of its ecosystem.
• Proven proficiency in Infrastructure as Code principles and strong practical experience with Terraform.
• Comprehensive knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPCs, Load Balancers) and security best practices (Firewalls, IAM).
• Solid experience with Docker and container orchestration technologies.
• Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash for automation and task management.
• Demonstrated experience with CI/CD tools, particularly GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in implementing and managing monitoring and observability solutions (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in complex cloud environments.
• Excellent communication skills, a strong sense of ownership, and an automation-first mindset.
