Senior Azure Platform Engineer

Jigya Software Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure Platform Engineer to join our newly formed Azure Platform Engineering squad. As a key contributor, you will play a critical role in shaping the cloud strategy and implementation, ensuring our platforms meet the highest standards of performance, security, and reliability for our esteemed client.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Azure landing zones, encompassing subscription vending, advanced networking, identity management, and policy enforcement, all provisioned as reusable Terraform modules.
• Manage and optimize production-grade Kubernetes clusters, including networking configurations, RBAC implementation, node pool management, and Helm chart deployments.
• Establish and refine GitOps workflows using ArgoCD to automate deployments and maintain configuration consistency across environments.
• Develop and manage robust CI/CD pipelines leveraging Azure Pipelines and GitHub Actions, incorporating comprehensive security and policy gates.
• Implement and oversee advanced observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor to ensure proactive platform health and performance monitoring.
• Extend and enhance Azure Local and hybrid cloud capabilities, integrating seamlessly with existing infrastructure.
• Collaborate effectively with distributed teams, especially our UK-based clients, to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, and DevOps engineering, with at least 8 years focused specifically on hands-on Azure platform expertise.
• Advanced proficiency in Terraform, including module development, state management, and proactive drift detection strategies.
• Expert-level knowledge and practical experience with production-grade Kubernetes and Helm for container orchestration and application deployment.
• Demonstrable strong discipline in CI/CD practices and Git/GitHub workflows to ensure reliable and efficient software delivery.
• Proven experience in collaborating with geographically dispersed, UK-based teams, demonstrating excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash for automation and task execution.
• Relevant certifications like AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400, CKA, or CKS are a significant plus.
• Experience within the financial services sector is highly desirable.
