Senior Azure Data Engineer

As an Azure Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and solutions within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. We are looking for professionals with 8 to 12 years of relevant experience who are ready to make an immediate impact, working across various locations including Pune and PAN India.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Azure Data Factory to ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources.
• Implement and manage big data solutions utilizing Azure Databricks for data processing, analytics, and machine learning workloads.
• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database schemas for optimal data storage and retrieval in Azure SQL Database or Azure Synapse Analytics.
• Collaborate with data architects, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data solutions, adhering to best practices and compliance standards.
• Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and solutions to ensure high performance, reliability, and availability.
• Implement continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) practices for data solutions within the Azure DevOps framework.
• Stay updated with the latest Azure data technologies and recommend improvements to existing data architectures and processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 to 12 years of professional experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure data platforms.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Azure Databricks for big data processing and analytics.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including database design, query optimization, and data manipulation.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and data modeling techniques.
• Familiarity with other Azure data services such as Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Stream Analytics.
• Experience with programming languages like Python for data manipulation and scripting is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.
• A notice period of immediate to 30 days is preferred.
