SAS Developer

As a SAS Developer at Coforge, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining complex SAS programs and data analytics solutions that drive informed business decisions for our esteemed banking clients. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective data processing and reporting mechanisms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and implement robust SAS programs (Base SAS, SAS Macros, SAS/SQL) for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Perform comprehensive data analysis and generate insightful reports and dashboards using SAS, SQL, and Power BI.
• Collaborate with business analysts and domain experts to gather requirements and deliver data solutions tailored to the banking sector, particularly for Credit Cards and Personal Loans.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing SAS applications and data processes for enhanced performance and reliability.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of data warehousing and business intelligence solutions.
• Support ad-hoc data requests and provide analytical insights to various departments within the client organization.
• Document technical specifications, program logic, and data flow processes.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 to 5 years of professional experience as a SAS Developer or in a similar data analysis role.
• Strong proficiency in SAS programming, including expertise in Base SAS, SAS/Macros, and SAS/SQL.
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL for complex querying and data manipulation.
• Demonstrated experience in developing reports and interactive dashboards using Power BI.
• Solid banking domain expertise, specifically in products like Credit Cards and Personal Loans.
• Working knowledge of Python for data analysis and scripting is considered a significant advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a challenging environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
