QA Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation scripts and frameworks using industry-standard tools and programming languages.
• Execute comprehensive API testing using various tools and techniques to validate data integrity, functionality, and performance of backend services.
• Collaborate closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
• Identify, document, and track software defects, working with developers to ensure timely resolution and retesting.
• Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, from planning and design to execution and deployment.
• Continuously explore new testing tools, strategies, and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness of QA activities.
• Contribute to the enhancement of CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests, ensuring continuous quality feedback.
• Mentor junior QA team members and share best practices in automation and API testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-8 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance with a strong emphasis on Automation and API Testing.
• Proficiency in designing, developing, and implementing test automation frameworks using tools like Selenium.
• Extensive experience with API testing tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar, and understanding of REST API principles.
• Solid programming skills in at least one language, such as Java or Python, for scripting and framework development.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes, including Agile and Scrum.
• Experience with version control systems like Git and familiarity with CI/CD concepts.
• Knowledge of database concepts and ability to write SQL queries for data validation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
