QA Tech Lead

This is a crucial hybrid role designed for a hands-on professional with over 5 years of dedicated experience in quality assurance and automation. As a QA Tech Lead, you will be instrumental in elevating our testing practices, driving technical discussions, mentoring team members, and ensuring the delivery of robust, high-quality software solutions that meet our rigorous standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of comprehensive test strategies and plans across multiple projects and platforms.
• Drive the adoption, development, and continuous improvement of advanced test automation frameworks using industry-leading tools such as Playwright and Karate.
• Execute and oversee detailed UI manual testing efforts, ensuring exhaustive test coverage and identification of critical defects.
• Provide expert technical leadership and mentorship to a team of QA engineers, fostering skill development, best practices, and a culture of continuous quality.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including development, product management, and client stakeholders to understand requirements, mitigate risks, and ensure alignment on quality goals.
• Perform in-depth debugging and root-cause analysis for complex software issues, working closely with engineering teams to achieve timely and effective resolutions.
• Establish and maintain robust CI/CD pipeline integrations for automated testing, enabling rapid feedback loops and accelerating release cycles.
• Contribute to the strategic vision of the QA department, identifying opportunities for innovation and process improvements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive professional experience in Quality Assurance, with a demonstrated track record in a lead or senior QA engineering role.
• Profound hands-on expertise in developing and maintaining robust test automation scripts and frameworks, specifically with Playwright and Karate.
• Strong foundation and practical experience in UI manual testing techniques, exploratory testing, and test case design.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycles (SDLC), agile methodologies, and quality assurance best practices.
• Experience with API testing (e.g., REST API) and database testing (e.g., SQL) is highly desirable.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills, coupled with a meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor team members effectively.
