QA Automation

Calsoft is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced QA Automation, Performance Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role involves ensuring the robust functionality, scalability, and performance of our advanced Telecom Service Provider NTN systems, with a strong focus on cloud and backend infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of automation, performance, and load testing methodologies, contributing significantly to our system validation efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive test plans for validating Telecom Service Provider NTN system functionality, scalability, and performance.
• Collaborate closely with system architects, software developers, and network engineers to define robust test strategies for new features and product releases.
• Conduct integration, interoperability, and regression testing across various segments, including device, RAN, core network, and satellite components.
• Perform both lab-based and field-based testing to rigorously validate system performance under diverse real-world conditions.
• Analyze and debug complex system issues, meticulously identifying root causes across hardware, software, and network layers.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs), collect crucial telemetry data, and evaluate observability tools for continuous system validation.
• Document detailed test results, provide clear and actionable feedback to development teams, and proactively drive issue resolution.
• Actively participate in the enhancement of test automation frameworks, significantly increasing test coverage across different test categories.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the evolution of best practices in system validation methodologies and processes.

Requirements

• Proven track record of 8+ years in system test, validation engineering, or acceptance testing for large-scale, distributed, or telecommunications systems.
• Strong understanding of 3GPP cellular protocols (LTE/5G/NBIOT-NTN), with a critical emphasis on Radio Access Network (RAN) and Core Network components.
• In-depth knowledge of QA processes, from defining acceptance criteria and requirements to developing comprehensive test suites.
• Hands-on experience with system integration, performance benchmarking, load testing, chaos testing, fault injection, and efficiency testing.
• Proficiency in protocol validation, device testing (including AT commands), and working with UE emulators.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs for testing using tools like Postman, alongside gRPC APIs.
• Ability to script and/or program proficiently in Bash, Python, Go, or Ruby within a Unix/Linux environment, and experience with executing automation jobs using Jenkins.
• Exceptional troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills are essential for this QA Automation, Performance Test Engineer role.
