PHP Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable web applications using PHP and various related frameworks, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
• Apply advanced PHP concepts, including object-oriented programming (OOP), design patterns (e.g., MVC, Singleton), and SOLID principles to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Lead the optimization efforts for existing and new web applications, focusing on performance, scalability, security, and responsiveness across different environments.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, UI/UX designers, and other engineering teams to translate requirements into technical specifications and deliver innovative features.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and leadership to a team of PHP developers, fostering their growth and ensuring high-quality project delivery.
• Actively participate in code reviews, contribute to architectural discussions, and drive continuous improvement in development processes and tools.
• Research and evaluate emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in PHP and the broader web development landscape to propose and implement enhancements to our technical stack.

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 to 12 years of progressive, hands-on experience in developing and deploying complex web applications using PHP.
• Expert-level proficiency in advanced PHP concepts, including object-oriented programming, modern design patterns, and core PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, Zend).
• Strong command of front-end web development technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with an understanding of modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular) being a plus.
• Demonstrated experience with serverless architectures and cloud-based development platforms, specifically Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Solid working knowledge of Linux operating systems for server administration, deployment, and troubleshooting.
• Proven track record of optimizing web applications for high performance, scalability, and security in production environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a hybrid work setting, demonstrating self-motivation, strong organizational skills, and effective collaboration with remote and in-office team members.
