As a Payments Expert, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between complex client requirements and robust technical implementations, ensuring seamless, compliant, and cutting-edge payment processing systems. Key Responsibilities

• Translate diverse client requirements related to various payment lifecycles, including issuing, acquiring, switching, and clearing-settlement, into clear, comprehensive functional specifications.
• Rigorously validate the alignment of functional designs with technical architectures to ensure optimal system performance, scalability, and adherence to security standards.
• Provide expert-level guidance, mentorship, and hands-on support to development and engineering teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
• Conduct thorough impact analysis for proposed system changes, new feature integrations, and regulatory updates within the payments ecosystem.
• Actively participate in and lead functional testing phases, including System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and non-regression testing, to ensure solution quality.
• Advise, monitor, and meticulously analyze compliance with critical payment industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 8583, ISO 20022, and various scheme rules and compliance frameworks.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, and compliance teams to drive the successful delivery of secure and innovative payment solutions.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, documentation, and best practices within the payments domain.

Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of dedicated, hands-on experience within the cards-payment domain.
• Proven expertise in Java development with a strong command of the Spring Boot framework.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with DevOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with message queuing and streaming platforms, specifically Kafka or similar distributed systems.
• Strong database skills, including extensive experience with PL/SQL, Oracle, and PostgreSQL.
• Demonstrated ability to convert complex business requirements into detailed and actionable functional specifications.
• In-depth knowledge of payment industry standards, compliance frameworks, and scheme rules (e.g., Visa, MasterCard).
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
