Mobile Test Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive automated test scripts for native Android and iOS mobile applications using frameworks like Maestro, Appium, Detox, XCUITest, and Espresso.
• Integrate mobile automation tests into continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to ensure rapid feedback and efficient releases.
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and QA teams to understand requirements and implement effective testing strategies.
• Perform thorough debugging and analysis of test failures, identifying root causes, and providing detailed reports.
• Contribute to the enhancement of existing test automation frameworks and tools, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, advocating for quality and testability from inception.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in mobile testing and automation to continuously improve practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 4 to 8 years of professional experience specifically in mobile test automation for Android and iOS platforms.
• Proficiency with leading mobile automation frameworks such as Maestro, Appium, Detox, XCUITest, or Espresso.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with CI/CD tools and integrating automation scripts.
• Strong command of version control systems, particularly Git.
• Experience with YAML and scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, or Shell for test automation and pipeline configuration.
• Exceptional debugging skills and an analytical mindset to troubleshoot complex issues in mobile applications and test environments.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
