Microsoft Fabric / Power BI Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and visualizations that meet business requirements.
• Connect to, extract, transform, and load data from various sources using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and other ETL tools.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets from SQL Server databases.
• Develop and implement data models, including relationships, calculated columns, and measures using Data Analysis Expressions (DAX).
• Collaborate closely with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their data needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of data within all reporting solutions.
• Perform thorough testing and validation of Power BI reports to guarantee data quality and functionality.
• Optimize existing Power BI solutions for performance, scalability, and user experience.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features and best practices to continually enhance reporting capabilities.

Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience as a Power BI Developer, with a strong portfolio of implemented reports and dashboards.
• Expertise in Microsoft Power BI Desktop for data modeling, report design, and visualization.
• Solid understanding of SQL Server and advanced proficiency in writing T-SQL queries.
• Demonstrable experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL processes.
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and OLAP cubes.
• Ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and present findings clearly and concisely.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
