Payroll Manager

Tiger Analytics is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager – HR Compliance, Audit, Payroll & HR Operations to join our dedicated team in Chennai. Key Responsibilities

• Spearhead the end-to-end payroll governance framework, ensuring robust internal controls, precise financial reporting, and strict adherence to all statutory compliance requirements in India.
• Oversee and validate payroll accuracy, conduct regular internal and external audits, manage timely remittances, and develop comprehensive exception reporting mechanisms to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve HR Compliance programs and conduct periodic HR Audits to ensure organizational adherence to labor laws, company policies, and best practices.
• Manage critical HR operations functions, including seamless onboarding experiences, meticulous background verification (BGV) processes, and efficient employee lifecycle management.
• Develop and institutionalize scalable HR processes, author clear and concise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and establish comprehensive compliance calendars to proactively manage regulatory requirements.
• Drive continuous process improvement initiatives, identify opportunities for HR technology adoption and automation, and foster a culture of service excellence across all HR operational touchpoints as the HR Operations Manager.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 to 12 years of hands-on, progressive experience in key HR domains, specifically encompassing HR Compliance, HR Audit, HR Operations, and Payroll Governance, preferably within a fast-growing organization.
• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and practical application of Indian labor laws, statutory compliance regulations (e.g., PF, ESI, Gratuity, Bonus, LWF), and comprehensive HR governance principles.
• Proven experience with various Human Resources Management Systems (HRMS platforms), alongside a track record of successfully leading HR process transformation and digital optimization projects.
• Possess a strong analytical and data-driven mindset, coupled with excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and proven leadership capabilities to manage and inspire a team.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external agencies.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., PGDHRM, LLB) is a strong plus.
