Junior Data Engineer

TeamLease is seeking motivated and talented Junior Data Engineers to join our dynamic team in Pune. This entry-level position is ideal for recent engineering graduates or those with up to one year of experience who are passionate about data, possess strong analytical skills, and have completed relevant Data Science certifications. As a Junior Data Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining robust data pipelines, ensuring data quality, and supporting data-driven initiatives within our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes using Python and SQL.
• Extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data warehouses and other storage solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency by implementing data quality checks and validation procedures.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Monitor data systems for performance issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions to optimize data flow.
• Contribute to the documentation of data architecture, data models, and ETL processes.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices for data engineering and software development.
• Continuously learn and apply new data technologies and methodologies to enhance data infrastructure.

Requirements

• B.E. / B.Tech degree, with graduation years 2025 or 2026 preferred, or 0-1 years of relevant experience.
• A strong academic record with a CGPA of 7.0 or above.
• Demonstrated completion of certifications in Data Science or related fields.
• Proficiency in basic programming knowledge, particularly in Python and SQL.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to a fast-paced, evolving technical landscape.
• Ability to join immediately and commit to an initial in-office training period in Pune.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
