Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable data processing applications using Java and Apache Spark.
- Implement and optimize distributed data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analysis of large datasets.
- Utilize Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Microservices to build robust backend systems.
- Collaborate with data scientists, architects, and other engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and security of data solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Perform rigorous testing, debugging, and performance tuning of applications to meet operational standards.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices.
- Work with event-driven architectures using technologies like Kafka to process real-time data streams.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Java development, with a strong emphasis on enterprise-level applications.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Apache Spark, including Spark Core, Spark SQL, and Spark Streaming for large-scale data processing.
- Proficiency in Java 8/11/17, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and designing/implementing Microservices architectures.
- Solid understanding and experience with distributed systems and handling large datasets effectively.
- Strong SQL skills and practical experience working with relational databases.
- Demonstrable experience with Kafka and building event-driven architectures.
- Familiarity with the Hadoop ecosystem (Hive, HDFS, YARN) is a significant advantage.
- Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proficiency with containerization technologies like Docker, orchestration with Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Strong grasp of software engineering best practices, including Git, Maven/Gradle, and Agile methodologies.
