Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement high-performance, scalable Java-based applications and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and other developers to define, design, and ship new features.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, share knowledge, and mentor junior developers.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and production issues in a timely manner.
• Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven experience as a Java Software Developer with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Proficiency with the Spring Boot framework for building microservices and web applications.
• Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and ORM technologies.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model, with regular in-person attendance required at our Albany, NY office.
