As a Java L3 Support Engineer at Nagarro, you will be at the forefront of managing and resolving technical challenges for our production systems. This position requires a proactive individual who can take complete ownership of problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, and implementing effective solutions for intricate Java-based applications. You will work within a fast-paced environment, collaborating with various teams to maintain optimal performance and reliability, directly impacting our clients' success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert first-line technical support for business-critical Java-based applications, taking full ownership of problem diagnosis and resolution.
  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting, debugging, and bug fixes for production incidents, with a particular focus on SQL and complex data-related issues.
  • Analyze production incidents to identify root causes and implement necessary bug fixes and technical enhancements to prevent recurrence.
  • Write, understand, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries and stored procedures, ensuring data integrity and application functionality.
  • Support applications built using a modern technology stack including Java/J2EE, AWS, Kubernetes, PaaS, Control-M, and UNIX/Linux environments.
  • Conduct daily application, system, and database health checks across production environments to ensure stability and proactively identify potential issues.
  • Monitor business-critical batch workloads, real-time processing, and data transfer services to ensure timely and accurate execution.
  • Support critical operational activities such as application onboarding, upgrades, deployment activities, and recovery procedures, adhering to best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with data analysts, business analysts, DBAs, development teams, and business project teams to enhance and support production services.
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and incident documentation, ensuring compliance with established incident management and change management processes.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improving operational efficiency, reducing turnaround times, and streamlining support processes.

Requirements

  • 2.5 to 4 years of hands-on experience in a Production Support or Application Support environment, specifically within a Java/J2EE ecosystem.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Java and J2EE, coupled with strong working knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes (K8s).
  • Significant hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and understanding of Microservices Architecture.
  • Proficiency in database management, including Oracle or MySQL, with advanced skills in writing, understanding, and troubleshooting SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with exposure to incident, problem, and change management processes.
  • Familiarity with technologies such as Kafka, Control-M, UNIX/Linux, Git, and Jenkins is highly advantageous.
  • Ability to join immediately or within a 30-day notice period.
