Java Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Java-based applications and microservices.
• Build and optimize RESTful APIs using popular frameworks such as Spring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Implement and manage cloud-native solutions leveraging platforms like OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Work with various database technologies, including Oracle, SQL, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Ensure code quality, maintainability, and security by following clean code principles and best practices.
• Actively participate in the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) within an Agile methodology.
• Contribute to and promote DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipeline automation and infrastructure as code.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, ensuring optimal performance and reliability of applications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in Java programming and software development.
• Extensive hands-on experience in building and consuming RESTful APIs, with strong proficiency in the Spring framework.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB).
• Demonstrated experience with cloud engineering concepts and platforms like OpenShift and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as MQ and Kafka.
• Proficiency in applying clean code principles and design patterns to create maintainable and scalable solutions.
• Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and experience working in Agile environments.
• Practical knowledge and experience with DevOps practices and setting up/managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
