Java Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of high-performance, scalable Java applications using Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Integrate and manage complex systems using Apache Camel and build robust event-driven systems.
• Leverage cloud platforms, specifically AWS, for deploying, monitoring, and managing applications.
• Apply expertise in AI/GenAI, LLM, RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), and Prompt Engineering to develop intelligent features and solutions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineering teams to define requirements and deliver innovative software solutions.
• Ensure the quality, performance, and security of applications through rigorous testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.
• Mentor junior developers, share knowledge, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Participate actively in the entire software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.

Requirements

• Proven track record as a Senior Java Developer with extensive professional experience in Java development.
• Deep expertise in Spring Boot and building scalable microservices architectures.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
• Experience with Apache Camel and designing/implementing event-driven systems.
• Familiarity and practical experience with AI/GenAI concepts, including LLM, RAG, and Prompt Engineering.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Must be a local candidate residing in the Chicago, IL area. All valid work visas are welcome.
