Java Developer

Iconma is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Developer to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This is a critical contract-to-contract (C2C) role for a seasoned professional with a minimum of 10 years of experience in Java development. As a Senior Java Developer, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining complex enterprise-level applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions, ensuring code quality, performance, and reliability. This role demands a deep understanding of Java ecosystems, modern architectural patterns, and a commitment to best practices in software development.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems.
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code following clean code principles and best practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, and other developers to define, design, and ship new features.
• Perform comprehensive unit and integration testing to ensure code quality and system stability.
• Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems to improve functionality and performance.
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing and deployment.
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge to foster a collaborative learning environment.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a Java Developer.
• Strong proficiency in Java 8+ and the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA).
• Extensive experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and ORM technologies like Hibernate.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design principles.
• Experience with build tools like Maven or Gradle and version control systems like Git.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
