IBDP Arabic Teacher

Ruzann Edtech is actively seeking a highly skilled and dedicated IBDP Arabic Teacher – Year 2 to join our esteemed faculty. This pivotal role involves guiding Diploma Programme Year 2 (DP2) students through the rigorous IBDP Arabic A: Language & Literature curriculum at both Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL). Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and effective instruction for the IBDP Arabic A: Language & Literature curriculum to Year 2 (DP2) students, covering both Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL) components.
• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with IBDP standards, fostering critical thinking, linguistic proficiency, and cultural understanding.
• Prepare students thoroughly for their IB Diploma Programme Arabic examinations, utilizing proven strategies for essay writing, oral proficiency, and textual analysis.
• Conduct regular formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to students and monitoring their progress effectively.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and the academic leadership team to ensure curriculum coherence and enhance the overall educational experience for students.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of the IBDP Arabic curriculum, incorporating innovative teaching methodologies and resources.
• Maintain a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation, intellectual curiosity, and a love for the Arabic language and culture.
• Participate in school-wide professional development activities and IB-specific training to continuously enhance teaching practices and stay updated with curriculum changes.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of proven IBDP teaching experience, specifically with the Diploma Programme (DP) curriculum, is essential.
• Demonstrated strong knowledge and expertise in the IBDP Arabic A: Language & Literature curriculum, including Year 2 (DP2) specific requirements.
• Extensive experience in preparing students for DP2 examinations and a thorough understanding of IB assessment criteria and practices.
• Excellent command of the Arabic language, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate complex literary and linguistic concepts clearly.
• Experience teaching at both Higher Level (HL) and Standard Level (SL) within the IBDP framework is highly preferred.
• Possession of IB training/certification or prior experience as an IB examiner will be considered a significant advantage.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Arabic Language, Literature, Education, or a related field.
• Strong pedagogical skills, with the ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs and learning styles.
