Key Responsibilities
- Oversee comprehensive talent acquisition, recruitment, and onboarding processes, attracting and retaining top-tier professionals within the hospitality sector.
- Manage employee relations, serving as a trusted advisor to staff and leadership, addressing grievances, facilitating conflict resolution, and ensuring fair disciplinary actions.
- Develop, implement, and interpret HR policies, procedures, and programs in strict adherence to local labor laws and Taj Hotels' rigorous corporate standards.
- Administer and enhance performance management systems, including conducting appraisals, facilitating constructive feedback, and designing career development pathways for all employees.
- Design and coordinate impactful training and development initiatives to continuously elevate employee skills, leadership capabilities, and service standards.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs, ensuring they remain competitive, equitable, and compliant with industry benchmarks.
- Foster robust communication channels between management and employees, promoting an open, transparent, and inclusive workplace culture.
- Provide strategic HR guidance and support to hotel leadership, aligning human resources initiatives with overarching business objectives and operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with all employment-related regulations, reporting requirements, and internal HR audits.
Requirements
- Proven track record of 5+ years of progressive experience as a Human Resources Manager, with a strong preference for candidates from the luxury hospitality industry.
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field is required. Advanced degrees or professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CHRMP) are highly advantageous.
- In-depth knowledge and practical understanding of Indian labor laws, employment regulations, and HR best practices.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated strong leadership abilities, coupled with a history of effectively building, mentoring, and motivating diverse teams.
- Proficiency in using HR Information Systems (HRIS) and payroll software; experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Learning Management Systems (LMS) is a plus.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with utmost professionalism.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate business goals into effective HR strategies and initiatives.
