AvenDATA is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Firewall Expert (FortiGate) to join our dynamic and international team. Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and meticulously maintain enterprise-level FortiGate firewall solutions to ensure robust network protection.
• Manage and optimize firewall policies, security zones, Network Address Translation (NAT), Access Control Lists (ACLs), and comprehensive network segmentation strategies.
• Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot various Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), including IPsec, SSL VPN, and site-to-site connections.
• Proactively monitor and mitigate security threats using advanced Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS) / Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), SSL inspection, and URL filtering.
• Perform in-depth analysis of security logs, network traffic, and events utilizing FortiGate Analyzer to identify and resolve potential vulnerabilities.
• Configure and maintain high-availability (HA) firewall deployments, including clustering and failover mechanisms to ensure continuous operation.
• Integrate firewall systems with various authentication services such as Active Directory (AD), LDAP, RADIUS, TACACS+, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
• Implement and secure cloud environments across major platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Develop and implement automation scripts for routine firewall tasks using tools like Python, Ansible, APIs, or Terraform to enhance efficiency.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in firewall and network security roles, with a strong focus on enterprise solutions.
• Mandatory and proven expertise in FortiGate firewalls and FortiGate Analyzer is essential for this Firewall Expert position.
• A solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, various VPN technologies, advanced firewall policies, and Access Control Lists (ACLs).
• Demonstrated experience in configuring and managing High Availability (HA) setups and securing cloud environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
