EHS Deputy Manager

SKH Group is actively seeking a highly experienced and dedicated EHS Deputy Manager to join our dynamic team in Gurugram. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) within the manufacturing or automotive sector. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring robust EHS compliance, fostering a safety-first culture, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across our operations.

As an EHS Deputy Manager, you will lead efforts to maintain the highest standards of safety and environmental protection, contributing directly to a healthy and secure workplace. Your expertise will be crucial in managing multifaceted safety programs and ensuring regulatory adherence in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure comprehensive EHS compliance with all statutory requirements, local regulations, and stringent company standards.
• Oversee and manage safety protocols and initiatives across critical operational areas including Press Shop, Weld Shop, Paint Shop, Maintenance, and Utilities.
• Conduct thorough Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), regular safety inspections, and meticulous incident investigations.
• Drive the effective closure of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) and conduct detailed investigations into Near-Miss incidents and accidents to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure the safe operation and maintenance of crucial equipment such as EOT Cranes, Lifting Tackles, Pressure Vessels, and Compressors.
• Manage all aspects of Fire Safety, including emergency preparedness planning, conducting mock drills, and developing comprehensive On-Site Emergency Plans.
• Ensure full compliance with Environmental Treatment Plant (ETP) / Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) operations, pollution control measures, and hazardous waste management regulations.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives aimed at achieving a Zero Accident and Zero Harm culture throughout the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) or Diploma with a specialized qualification in Industrial Safety or EHS.
• A minimum of 8 to 12 years of progressive experience in Environment, Health, and Safety roles, preferably within the Manufacturing or Automotive industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in EHS management systems, risk assessment methodologies (HIRA, JSA), and incident investigation techniques.
• Strong understanding of statutory EHS requirements and the ability to ensure compliance across various operational departments.
• Proven ability to manage fire safety, emergency response, and environmental compliance (ETP/STP, hazardous waste).
• Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
