Draughtsman

Growelsoftech, a leading player in the water treatment industry, is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Draughtsman to join our dynamic team in Pune, Maharashtra. This is a critical role for individuals passionate about contributing to essential infrastructure projects, specifically in water and wastewater treatment. As a Draughtsman, you will play a pivotal role in translating engineering concepts into detailed technical drawings, directly supporting our design and project engineering teams from initial concept through to project execution. Your expertise will ensure the accuracy and clarity of all project documentation, impacting the successful delivery of vital environmental engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare comprehensive civil and structural drawings for a variety of water retaining structures, including tanks, clarifiers, sumps, and channels. This includes detailed layouts, cross-sections, and reinforcement schedules adhering to industry standards.
• Develop accurate General Arrangement (GA) drawings for Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Water Treatment Plants (WTP), and other associated process units.
• Draft precise piping layouts, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), isometric drawings, and detailed pipe support designs.
• Create robust 3D models of components and assemblies, extracting fabrication and erection drawings to facilitate construction.
• Proactively incorporate design changes, maintain stringent revision control, and prepare comprehensive As-Built drawings upon project completion.
• Accurately compile Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and perform material take-offs directly from technical drawings to support procurement and cost estimation.
• Liaise effectively with site teams and external vendors to address and resolve any drawing-related queries or discrepancies in a timely manner.

Requirements

• A Diploma or ITI certification specifically in Civil or Mechanical Draughtsmanship is mandatory for this Draughtsman position.
• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a similar draughting role, preferably within the water treatment or environmental engineering sectors.
• Mandatory proficiency in AutoCAD 2D for creating and modifying technical drawings.
• Demonstrated experience with 3D modelling software such as SolidWorks, Inventor, Revit, or Plant 3D.
• Solid working knowledge of various piping components, fittings, and relevant industry standards.
• Exceptional ability to accurately read and interpret complex civil, structural, and mechanical engineering drawings.
• Familiarity with Indian Standard (IS) 3370 for the design of water retaining structures will be considered a significant advantage.
• Prior experience in projects related to ETP, STP, WTP, or general EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) environmental engineering projects is highly preferred.
