Delivery Leader

Virtusa is actively seeking an accomplished and visionary Delivery Leader to spearhead strategic programs and portfolio delivery within our dynamic Banking vertical. Based in Hyderabad, this pivotal role demands extensive experience in managing complex, multi-technology initiatives, ensuring profitability, and driving significant client value. As a Delivery Leader at Virtusa, you will play a crucial role in shaping our service offerings and expanding our footprint within the US banking sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Take complete end-to-end delivery ownership for diverse, multi-technology programs, ensuring successful outcomes and client satisfaction.
• Manage a broad and complex portfolio specifically within the Banking industry, aligning delivery with strategic business objectives.
• Exercise strong P&L ownership, optimizing delivery efficiency and profitability across all managed engagements.
• Leverage deep banking domain expertise to foster value-led client engagements and innovative solutions.
• Lead, mentor, and inspire large, globally distributed delivery teams, cultivating a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
• Engage strategically with key clients, particularly within the US market, building robust relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
• Establish and maintain strong governance frameworks, operational rigor, and execution discipline throughout the delivery lifecycle.
• Drive initiatives involving emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Digital Transformation, to keep Virtusa at the forefront of innovation.
• Actively support Request for Proposals (RFPs), large deal pursuits, and advanced solutioning efforts, contributing to business growth.
• Demonstrate a proven track record in achieving significant account growth and expansion through strategic leadership and delivery excellence.

Requirements

• A minimum of 18 years of progressive experience in IT delivery and leadership roles, preferably within the Banking or Financial Services sector.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing multi-technology programs and complex service portfolios, with a strong understanding of diverse tech stacks.
• Proven ability to manage P&L, focusing on operational efficiency, cost management, and revenue growth.
• Deep domain knowledge of the banking industry, including an understanding of its regulatory landscape and emerging trends.
• Exceptional leadership capabilities with a track record of leading and developing large, distributed global teams.
• Strong client engagement and stakeholder management skills, particularly with US-based clients, demonstrating executive presence and influential communication.
• Solid understanding of project governance, operational best practices, and execution methodologies.
• Exposure to and understanding of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and concepts of Digital Transformation.
