Data Governance Engineer

CitiusTech is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing robust enterprise data governance solutions. We are looking for a professional who can drive data quality, ensure compliance, and establish best practices for metadata management, data cataloging, and data lineage within a modern cloud-based data ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and support comprehensive enterprise data governance frameworks and standards.
• Configure, manage, and optimize leading data governance tools such as Collibra, Microsoft Purview, or Google Dataplex.
• Develop and maintain robust solutions for metadata management, data cataloging, business glossary, and end-to-end data lineage.
• Collaborate with business and technology teams to establish and enforce data governance best practices across the organization.
• Build, optimize, and support complex data pipelines utilizing technologies like Azure Data Factory (ADF), various ETL processes, Python scripting, SQL, and Databricks.
• Lead and actively participate in critical data quality, data stewardship, data compliance, and broader data governance initiatives.
• Ensure meticulous documentation, precise classification, and clear traceability of all critical data assets.
• Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to foster an environment of trusted, high-quality, and governed data for all organizational needs.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive professional experience in a Data Governance Engineering or Data Governance Consultant role.
• Demonstrated expertise in the successful implementation and management of enterprise-level data governance solutions.
• Hands-on experience with leading data governance platforms, specifically Collibra, Microsoft Purview, or Google Dataplex.
• Strong background in key data governance disciplines including metadata management, comprehensive data cataloging, data lineage, and business glossary development.
• Proficiency in building and supporting robust data pipelines, with practical experience in Azure Data Factory (ADF), ETL development, Python, and SQL.
• Proven experience with Databricks for large-scale data processing and analytics.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud Services and Master Data Management (MDM) concepts is considered a significant advantage.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a proven ability to manage diverse stakeholders and articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
