As a Credit Risk Strategy Consultant at Straive, you will be at the forefront of designing, developing, and optimizing advanced underwriting strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize comprehensive underwriting strategies across new account originations, line management, and renewal processes.
- Apply strong, hands-on expertise in advanced SQL querying and Python programming for complex data manipulation and strategic insights.
- Proactively manage and strategically balance core business objectives of growth, risk exposure, and profitability through meticulous analysis of bureau and third-party data.
- Conduct in-depth vintage, cohort, and segment performance analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for strategic improvement within credit portfolios.
- Develop, implement, and continuously refine First-Party Fraud Risk Management strategies, integrating them into broader credit risk frameworks.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to translate intricate analytical insights into clear, actionable business strategies and robust decisioning rules.
- Monitor the performance of existing credit strategies, identifying areas for enhancement and proposing data-backed adjustments to senior stakeholders.
Requirements
- A solid minimum of 3 to 5 years of dedicated professional experience in Credit Risk Strategy, Credit Analytics, or a closely related analytical role within financial services.
- Demonstrated strong, hands-on expertise in SQL and Python programming is absolutely essential, with proficiency in complex data manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Proven experience and in-depth understanding of Credit Underwriting principles and the practical development and implementation of robust Decisioning Rules.
- Proficiency in analyzing and effectively leveraging Bureau and various Third-Party Data sources for strategic insights and predictive modeling.
- Solid understanding and practical experience with advanced Portfolio Performance and Vintage Analysis methodologies.
- Familiarity with contemporary First-Party Fraud Risk Management techniques, detection strategies, and prevention protocols.
- Candidates must be available to join immediately or with a maximum notice period of 30 days.
