Buyer - MRO Procurement

Join We Are AMS as a Buyer - MRO Procurement and play a pivotal role in optimizing our maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) sourcing strategies. We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic procurement professional to lead MRO purchasing projects, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost efficiencies within our dynamic organization. This full-time, in-office position in Pune offers a unique opportunity to significantly impact our operational excellence and contribute to our continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end MRO purchasing projects, from tendering and Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes through negotiation and successful contract implementation.
• Develop, refine, and execute comprehensive category sourcing strategies tailored to MRO requirements, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
• Perform in-depth spend analysis, Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis, develop robust business cases, and conduct price benchmarking to identify strategic opportunities.
• Proactively lead supplier negotiations, manage complex contracts, and cultivate long-term, mutually beneficial relationships with key MRO suppliers.
• Monitor contract performance, ensure compliance with agreed terms, and oversee the efficient execution of all MRO procurement agreements.
• Identify and champion cost optimization initiatives and savings opportunities across the MRO spend, contributing directly to the company's financial health.
• Conduct thorough supply market research to inform and support the continuous evolution of MRO category strategies.
• Collaborate effectively with diverse internal stakeholders, including operations, finance, legal, and end-users, as well as external suppliers, to achieve procurement goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's (B.Tech/B.E.) or Master's (M.Tech) degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
• A minimum of 6 to 10 years of mandatory, progressive experience in MRO procurement or category management is essential.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic procurement and sourcing methodologies, with a proven track record in MRO category management.
• Proficiency in supplier and contract management, coupled with strong negotiation and cost management skills.
• Experience with leading ERP and procurement software systems such as SAP, ARIBA, or IVALUA is required.
• Excellent analytical capabilities and strong proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
• Outstanding English communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder engagement and contract discussions.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely and successful outcomes.
