Business Data Analyst

Generis Tek Inc is actively seeking an experienced and highly motivated Business Data Analyst to join our dynamic team on a 7-month contract basis. This hybrid role, located in Alpharetta, GA, offers a unique opportunity to contribute significantly to data-driven decision-making within our organization. The ideal Business Data Analyst will be instrumental in supporting critical data analysis, robust reporting, KPI development, insightful dashboard creation, and advanced predictive modeling, leveraging their expertise in various analytical tools and financial industry knowledge.

As a Business Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw data into actionable business insights, directly impacting strategy and operational efficiency. Your work will involve deep dives into large datasets, developing sophisticated analytical models, and communicating complex findings to senior stakeholders. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, analyze, and interpret large volumes of business data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Develop, maintain, and enhance interactive dashboards and comprehensive reporting tools using Power BI.
• Define, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure business performance and strategic initiatives.
• Produce accurate and timely monthly client performance reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Write complex SQL queries and develop data transformation scripts to support various analytical projects.
• Build and implement predictive models to forecast future trends and support the development of robust data frameworks.
• Conduct thorough analysis of existing business processes, identifying inefficiencies and proposing actionable improvement opportunities.
• Present analytical findings and collaborate effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional internal teams to drive informed business decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a closely related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data analysis, business intelligence reporting, or data warehousing roles.
• Demonstrable industry experience within Credit Card, Finance, or Insurance sectors is highly preferred.
• Exceptional proficiency with SQL for data extraction and manipulation, advanced Excel for data modeling, and Power BI for data visualization.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, and presentation skills, capable of explaining complex data insights clearly.
• Proven ability to thrive and deliver results in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment.
