Business Data Analyst

Are you a seasoned Business Data Analyst with a deep understanding of the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain? Acunor is seeking a highly experienced Business Data Analyst to join our team in Jersey City, NJ. This is a critical full-time, 100% onsite role focused on a long-term enterprise data initiative where your expertise in P&C insurance data will be paramount.

As a key Business Data Analyst, you will leverage your extensive experience to drive data-driven insights, ensure data quality, and facilitate robust data solutions within the P&C sector. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to significant data transformation projects and work with complex policy and claims data.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive business and data analysis efforts for enterprise data initiatives, with a strong focus on Property & Casualty Insurance data.
• Develop and execute complex SQL queries for in-depth data analysis, validation, and reporting purposes.
• Design and implement Source-to-Target Mappings (STTM) to ensure accurate and efficient data flow across systems.
• Conduct thorough data profiling, validation, and quality assessments to maintain the integrity and reliability of P&C insurance data.
• Collaborate with ETL developers and data engineers on data transformation processes, ensuring business requirements are met.
• Effectively manage stakeholders, gathering requirements, presenting findings, and providing clear, concise documentation.
• Identify data discrepancies, investigate root causes, and propose solutions to improve overall data quality within the P&C domain.
• Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of data governance policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10+ years of progressive experience in Business Analysis and Data Analysis.
• Mandatory: Extensive and recent experience within the Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance domain, specifically with policy and claims data. Candidates without this specific experience will not be considered.
• Proven expert-level proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries, performing detailed data analysis, and validation.
• Demonstrated experience in Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM).
• Solid expertise in Data Profiling, Data Validation, Data Quality methodologies, and ETL/Data Transformation processes.
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work 100% onsite in Jersey City, NJ.
