Business Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive and in-depth requirement gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews with various business stakeholders to thoroughly understand their objectives, processes, and pain points.
• Perform detailed business process mapping, analysis, and re-engineering to identify inefficiencies, recommend improvements, and design optimized future-state processes.
• Elicit, analyze, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements, translating them into clear, concise, and comprehensive artifacts such as User Stories, Business Requirement Documents (BRD), and Functional Requirement Documents (FRD).
• Actively facilitate and participate in all phases of Agile/Scrum development methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring effective communication and alignment across development teams.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans and test cases, coordinating with end-users to validate solutions and manage defect tracking and resolution to ensure the delivery of high-quality software.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product owners, developers, quality assurance engineers, and project managers, to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
• Utilize project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA and Confluence for efficient task management, documentation, tracking of progress, and fostering team communication.
• Perform data analysis using SQL queries (from basic to intermediate complexity) and advanced Excel functions (including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data visualization) to extract insights, support decision-making, and validate data integrity.
• Conduct thorough process improvement and gap analysis initiatives to identify areas for enhancement and recommend strategic solutions that align with business goals.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of demonstrated, progressive experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role, preferably within a fast-paced environment.
• Proven expertise in applying a wide range of requirement gathering techniques, business process mapping, and creating detailed documentation (BRD/FRD) for complex systems.
• Strong command and practical application of Agile/Scrum methodologies in various software development lifecycles.
• Proficient user of project management and collaboration tools, specifically JIRA for issue tracking and Confluence for knowledge management and documentation.
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and basic to intermediate analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including expertise in complex formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and visualization techniques.
• Extensive experience in designing and executing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including managing test cycles and defect resolution processes.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa.
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with strong interpersonal and stakeholder management abilities to build consensus and drive initiatives.
• Exposure to business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau is highly preferred.
• Prior experience working within regulated environments or specific domains like Healthcare, Banking, or Insurance would be considered a significant advantage.
