BMC Entuity Administrator

Parseq is actively seeking an experienced BMC Entuity Administrator to join our dynamic team in Pune. Key Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, and maintain BMC Entuity solutions across enterprise-scale networks, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
• Perform proactive network monitoring, incident detection, and rapid troubleshooting of network issues utilizing BMC Entuity’s advanced capabilities.
• Develop and customize intuitive dashboards, comprehensive reports, and intelligent alerting mechanisms within BMC Entuity to provide actionable insights into network health and performance trends.
• Implement and manage network protocols such as SNMP, TCP/IP, and various routing configurations to ensure efficient data flow and seamless network operations.
• Utilize expertise in Linux/Unix environments for system administration, scripting (e.g., shell scripting, Python for automation), and in-depth troubleshooting related to BMC Entuity installations and integrations.
• Conduct thorough root cause analysis for complex network incidents, identifying underlying issues and implementing permanent solutions to enhance system reliability and overall network availability.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional IT teams, including network engineers, system administrators, and application support, to integrate BMC Entuity with other IT infrastructure components and tools.
• Ensure the implementation of robust high availability and disaster recovery strategies for all BMC Entuity deployments, minimizing downtime and safeguarding critical monitoring data.
• Stay updated with the latest features and best practices for BMC Entuity and general network monitoring technologies.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on professional experience as a BMC Entuity Administrator or in a similar dedicated network monitoring and management role.
• Proven proficiency in administering, configuring, and optimizing BMC Entuity solutions within complex enterprise environments.
• Solid understanding and practical experience with core network protocols, including SNMP, TCP/IP, and advanced routing concepts (e.g., OSPF, BGP).
• Strong working knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems, including command-line operations, file system management, and scripting for automation and system health checks.
• Demonstrated ability in developing and customizing performance dashboards, generating comprehensive reports, and possessing strong analytical skills for problem-solving and root cause analysis.
• Experience with SQL scripting for database querying and report generation is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration abilities to work effectively within a team-oriented environment and interact with various stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to identifying potential network issues and implementing preventative measures.
