Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, robust, and reusable automation frameworks for complex web and API applications.
• Implement and maintain comprehensive UI automation test suites using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Develop and execute efficient REST API automation tests to ensure backend service reliability and performance.
• Apply strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) principles and Design Patterns to create high-quality, maintainable automation code.
• Ensure adherence to automation best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and QA teams to integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline and facilitate early defect detection.
• Mentor junior automation engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering skill development within the team.
• Participate actively in test strategy definition, test plan creation, and risk assessment for various project modules.

Requirements

• A minimum of 6 to 15 years of progressive experience in Automation Testing, with a strong focus on SDET roles.
• Exceptional hands-on programming proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Extensive practical experience with Playwright for developing advanced UI automation solutions.
• Demonstrable expertise in designing and implementing robust REST API automation frameworks and tests.
• Profound understanding and practical application of Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) concepts and Design Patterns.
• Proven ability to conceptualize, design, and develop scalable and efficient automation frameworks from scratch.
• Solid knowledge of Automation Best Practices, including test data management, reporting, and parallel execution.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.
