Automation Test Engineer (JavaScript)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts and test cases using industry-standard tools and frameworks.
• Execute automated tests, analyze results, and identify defects, ensuring comprehensive test coverage for software applications.
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and manual QA teams to understand requirements and integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Perform thorough regression testing, performance testing, and system integration testing to ensure product quality and stability.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of the test automation framework, strategies, and processes.
• Document test plans, test cases, and test results, providing clear and concise reports on product quality.
• Participate actively in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and maintenance.

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in software quality assurance and test automation; up to 16+ years of experience for senior and lead roles.
• Proven expertise with test automation frameworks and tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
• Strong programming skills in at least one language like Java, Python, or C#.
• Experience with API testing (REST/SOAP) and database testing using SQL.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
• Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and their application in QA processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment.
