Automation QA Lead

Agiliad is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Automation QA Lead to join our innovative team in Pune. This pivotal role requires a seasoned professional with a strong background in test automation strategies, framework development, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and robust automation frameworks for web and API testing using tools like Playwright and Cypress.
• Oversee and mentor a large team of 15-20 QA engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Define and implement comprehensive test strategies, including functional, non-functional, regression, and performance testing.
• Collaborate closely with development, product, and project management teams to integrate QA processes seamlessly into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Drive the adoption of best practices in test automation, code quality, and defect management within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Conduct in-depth analysis of test results, identify root causes of failures, and provide actionable recommendations for product and process enhancements.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies in QA and automation, evaluating and recommending new tools and processes.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate QA progress, risks, and challenges effectively to senior management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 11 to 15 years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance and Test Automation, with a significant portion in a leadership capacity.
• Extensive hands-on experience in developing and maintaining automation frameworks using modern tools such as Playwright and Cypress.
• Profound knowledge and practical experience with JavaScript and TypeScript for automation scripting.
• Demonstrated expertise in API testing, web application testing, and integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven track record of successfully managing, mentoring, and scaling large QA teams (15-20 members).
• Strong understanding and practical application of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
