Associate System Engineer

Ahom Technologies is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic System Engineer to join our growing team in Gurugram. Key Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor the performance and stability of IT systems, servers, and network infrastructure to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve common hardware, software, and network connectivity problems efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for end-users.
• Install, configure, and maintain various operating systems (primarily Windows and Linux), essential software applications, and peripheral devices across the organization.
• Provide timely and effective technical support to employees, addressing their IT-related queries and issues with professionalism and a problem-solving mindset.
• Perform routine system maintenance tasks, including backups, updates, and security checks, to uphold system integrity and data security standards.
• Collaborate with senior IT team members on various projects, assisting in the implementation of new technologies and solutions that contribute to the continuous improvement of our IT environment.
• Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to maintain a comprehensive knowledge base for the IT department.

Requirements

• A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Possess 0-1 year of experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar technical role. Freshers with a strong technical foundation are highly encouraged to apply.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems, including command-line interfaces and fundamental administration tasks.
• Fundamental understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and basic network troubleshooting principles.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve common hardware and software issues effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication abilities to interact with colleagues across departments.
