Associate Software Engineer

Staffing Comrade is seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer II to join a dynamic platform engineering team. This role is critical for building and scaling core User, Account, Billing, and Identity systems that underpin high-volume, cloud-scale applications. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure core services for User, Account, Billing, and Identity systems.
• Lead the architectural design and implementation of new features and improvements, ensuring alignment with overall platform strategy.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver robust software.
• Optimize existing systems for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency in a multi-region cloud environment.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot complex production issues across critical platform domains.
• Ensure the security, availability, and compliance of all developed systems.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong emphasis on Go programming language.
• Mandatory hands-on experience in building and managing high-scale User, Account, Billing, or IAM/Identity systems.
• Deep expertise in designing and implementing distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Proven ability to design high-throughput, scalable, and fault-tolerant multi-region cloud-based systems.
• Strong proficiency in System Design and Software Architecture principles.
• Practical experience with major cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes), infrastructure as code (Terraform), or Helm charts is a significant plus.
• Excellent understanding of APIs, databases, scalability, reliability, and security best practices.
