Associate QA Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases and detailed test plans to ensure thorough coverage of software features and functionalities.
• Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing, across different platforms and environments.
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects using appropriate defect management tools, ensuring clear communication with development teams for timely resolution.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to enhance testing efficiency and reduce manual effort for repetitive tasks.
• Prepare detailed test reports, progress summaries, and other necessary documentation to communicate testing status, results, and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other QA team members throughout the software development lifecycle to understand requirements and deliver high-quality products.
• Champion QA best practices, continuous process improvement, and the adoption of new testing methodologies and tools within the organization.
• Participate in design reviews, sprint planning, and stand-ups to provide valuable input from a quality assurance perspective.
• Ensure the overall quality, stability, and timely delivery of software releases, adhering to project timelines and quality metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a closely related technical field.
• A solid track record of 3 to 10 years of professional experience in software quality assurance and testing, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test scripts across various testing phases (functional, integration, regression, system).
• Proficiency in automation testing tools and frameworks, with practical experience in developing and maintaining automated test suites.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail in identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and interact with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with version control systems like Git and familiarity with SQL for database testing would be an added advantage.
